42 7 Bridging the barcode reading function 6.14 Setting the oil servicing time 7 Bridging the barcode reading function If the barcode of a spray canister is not readable (foreign canister, contaminated and/or scratched), the spray canister from QUATTROcare PLUS will not be detected. The barcode reading function can be bridged via a key combination. Activate bridging Press and hold down the start button for conditioning process and the start button for the chuck conditioning process simultaneously. Switch on the device using the main switch 6. Press and hold down the start button 5 and start button for the conditioning process 4 until you hear the signal. Switch off the device using the main switch 6 and switch on again. ð The barcode reading function is bridged. ð The LED "Oil" flashes during the conditioning process. ð Now, a spray canister with an illegible or invalid barcode can be used. Limitation Max.1500 single place conditioning cycles can be carried out with the bridging function. These 1500 conditioning cycles are divided into three blocks of 500 conditioning cycles each. Hence the bridging function can be called three times, at the most. Consequently, 1500 conditioning cycles can be carried out with spray canisters that do not comply with the specifications. The QUATTROcare PLUS switches to disturbance when the max. number of 1500 conditioning cycles is reached. The disturbance can only be rectified by a service technician. Deactivating the bridging status The bridging function is automatically deactivated after the insertion of a KaVo QUAT TROcare PLUS spray canister with a valid/ legible barcode. The care cycles activated in the bridging function remain stored. The oil control LED 1 extinguishes. If an original KaVo spray canister is used after a random number of conditioning cycles, but fewer than 500, the timer will stop and will not be reactivated at this point until a spray canister is used that is not the original KaVo canister. After the maximum 1500 cycles in bridging mode have run, this function from QUATTROcare PLUS will switch and the KaVo technical service must be notified. 42 / 60
