Disconnect the positive and negative battery terminals. Remove the air cleaner. Place a tray to retrieve the oil from the hydraulic valve block housing (approximately 0,5 litres). Figure : B2CP3EQC Remove : The fixing screws for the cover (1) The cover (1)

3 Page 3 of 8 Figure : B2CP2ERD A : EW engine. B : DW engine. Unclip the connectors from the sequence electrovalves, by carefully using a screwdriver as a lever. Disconnect the 6 sequence electrovalves. Remove the 7 screws (2) (engine EW). Remove the 9 screws (2) (engine DW). Figure : B2CP2ESC Release the hydraulic valve block (3). Disconnect electrovalves (5) and (6).

4 Page 4 of 8 Remove the hydraulic valve block (3). URGENT : Do not drop the manual valve (4) Electrovalves of the hydraulic valve block Figure : B2CP3ETD (7) Sequence electrovalve EVS1. (8) Sequence electrovalve EVS2. (9) Sequence electrovalve EVS3. (10) Sequence electrovalve EVS4. (11) Sequence electrovalve EVS5. (12) Sequence electrovalve EVS6. (5) Main pressure modulation electrovalve (pressure EVM). (6) Converter pressure modulation electrovalve (lock-up EVM). (4) Manual valve. N.B. : The hydraulic block does not have to be removed to remove the sequence electrovalves. URGENT : When the electrovalve (11) has been removed, hold the hydraulic slide valve controlled by the electrovalve so that it does not drop. URGENT : Replace the electrovalve seals every time they are reassembled. N.B. : The electrovalve mounting screws should be tightened to 1 ± 0,1 m.dan. 3. Refitting

5 Page 5 of 8 Figure : B2CP321C URGENT : Check that the seals ( 13) (new seals). Position the hydraulic valve block (3). Reconnect electrovalves (5) and (6). Figure : B2CP3EUC CAUTION : Ensure that the manual valve (4) engages on the lug (a) of the toothed quadrant (14).

Refit the hydraulic valve block mounting screws : Pre-tighten the screws to 0,9 ± 0,09 m.dan (in any order) Slacken the bolts Tighten finally to 0,75 ± 0,07 danm (in the order shown) EW engine = (in order 1 to 7). DW engine = (in order 1 to 9). Reconnect the 6 sequence electrovalves. URGENT : Adjust the internal control, the arm (15) and the toothed quadrant (14) (see the relevant operation). Ensure that the gear selection control works properly in all the positions. Fit : The cover (1) (equipped with a new seal) The fixing screws for the cover (1) Tighten to 1 danm The air cleaner Reconnect the battery positive and negative terminals. Carry out : Fill and top up the automatic gearbox oil (see the relevant operation) An update of the value of the used oil counter (see the relevant operation) 4. Adjusting the internal selection control URGENT : This adjustment must be made whenever repairs involving the hydraulic valve block or internal selection control are carried out.

7 Page 7 of 8 Figure : B2CP3EWD The adjustment takes place with the hydraulic valve block cover ( 1) removed. URGENT : Put the lever (2) in position 16 and hold it against its mechanical stop during the procedure. N.B. : To put the lever (2) in position 16, push it fully forward against its stop. Loosen the shouldered screw (17). Fit the roller "b" of the plate (15) into the position 2 notch of the notched sector (14). Remove the bolt (18).

8 Page 8 of 8 Figure : B2CP3B5C Bring the tool [2] into contact with the width of the arm (15) in line with the screw (18). Lock the assembly using the knurled adjusting screw [1]. Tighten the screw (17) to 0,9 ± 0,09 m.dan. Remove tools [1] and [2]. Refit and tighten the screw (18) to 0,75 ± 0,07 m.dan. URGENT : Ensure that the gear selection control works properly in all the positions. There must be no additional travel of the lever when it is in position 2.
