Petroleum marketing is the segment that is downstream of the refining operations. Morrison equipment includes the components and hardware fitted to the storage tanks and systems to facilitate liquid handling. WARRANTY All products are thoroughly tested before shipment. Material found to be defective in manufacture will be replaced or repaired at our discretion. Claims must be made within one year from the date of invoice. Morrison Bros. Co. will not allow claims for labor or consequential damage resulting from purchase, installation or misapplication of the product. PRODUCT SAFETY All Morrison products are designed and built to engineered standards. Additionally, some are designed and built to meet appropriate recognized standards and codes and are used in systems that must also meet certain standards and codes. All Morrison products fit within an acceptable range for application and use. It also acts as a rag catcher. Tank filling, manual sticking, water detection and cathodic protection (with certain models) can be accomplished without any change in procedure or routine. The diffuser will not restrict flow or cause any noticeable difference in filling. An extended version is also available. If the tube is too short to meet code, purchase the extended diffuser instead of replacing the tube. This diffuser provides an additional 12 of length to the drop tube. Aluminum. 13 Emergency Shutoff Valves Emergency Shutoff Valve UL Listed required on underground tank motor fueling systems. The emergency shutoff valve, or impact valve, is installed on the fuel line directly under the dispenser. It is intended to shut off the flow of product in the event of impact and/or fire involving the dispenser. In normal operation, the valve is left open, held in position by a fusible link. A shear section is located in the upper half of the valve and must be installed level with the base of the dispenser. In an emergency, the handle releases and the spring-loaded poppet assembly will close. Important Warning this valve requires periodic inspection to ensure the shutoff mechanism is operating correctly. Always shutoff the power to the dispenser when changing filters or doing maintenance. This valve is not intended to be used as a block valve and should not be opened under pressure. Opening under pressure can damage or distort internal components. 20 Emergency Vents 244 Series Emergency Vent Emergency vent (pressure relief only) used on aboveground storage tanks, as a code requirement that helps prevent the tanks from becoming over-pressurized and rupturing if exposed to fire. UL listed except for 2". Fig.244 Description The 244 emergency vent consists of a body and a black powder coated cover (2" not powder coated) that moves up and down on a center pin. Pressure inside the tank forces the cover to lift up off the vent seat, allowing air to exhaust. The center pin guides the movement. When pressure falls the cover lowers back down onto seat and the vent is automatically reset. Used in a tight fill application, the valve terminates flow of product when the liquid level reaches a preset warning level (90-95% full). The valve is installed on a standard NPT male connection when used with the quick disconnect or female adaptor.
