2 F6 Air Intake Filters and Filter Silencers Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencer The Series F6 Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencer is designed to mount directly on the inlet of an engine, blower or compressor. It will provide db to db noise reduction and the paper filter media has an efficiency of 99% on 1 micron particles. SERVICE LIFE & CLEANING: The service life of the element is dependent upon the surrounding environment and cannot be predicted. To prevent COLLAPSING of the filter element, STODDARD SILENCERS recommends the differential pressure across the filter element NOT exceed 1 inches of water column. Positive indication that the element requires cleaning or replacement can be provided with STODDARD SILENCERS model A0- Pressure Drop Indicator, at an extra charge. To extend service life, rap element gently to dislodge accumulated dirt. An alternate method is to direct compressed air ( PSIG max) through the element opposite to the direction of air flow. THE FILTER ELEMENT MUST EVEN- TUALLY BE REPLACED. 3 Air Intake Filters and Filter Silencers F2 Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencer The Series F2 Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencer is designed to mount directly on the inlet of an engine, blower or compressor. It will provide db to db noise reduction. The Polyurethane filter media has an efficiency of 9% on micron particles and a stainless steel center core. SERVICE LIFE & CLEANING: The service life of the element is dependent upon the surrounding environment and cannot be predicted. To prevent COLLAPSING of the filter element, STODDARD SILENCERS recommends the differential pressure across the filter element NOT exceed 1 inches of water column. Positive indication that the element requires cleaning or replacement can be provided with STODDARD SILENCERS model A0- Pressure Drop Indicator, at an extra charge. Wash in sink or large pan using either water and any good washday type detergent and rinse clean. Squeeze out filter by pressing it against metal grid. Let stand and allow to dry completely. 6 F6 INLINE AIR FILTERS INLINE AIR FILTERS - PRESSURE SERVICE The Series F6 Inline Air Filter is designed to mount directly in the air piping system for engines, blowers or compressors. The filter element, which is fabricated from pleated paper media, has an efficiency of 99% on 1 micron particles and larger. The housing is designed to withstand an internal pressure of 1 psig. Pressure taps are provided on the intake and discharge nozzles for installation of a pressure drop indicator or switch by the customer. The F6 Inline Air Filter surfaces are prime coated with a primer. 7 INLINE AIR FILTERS F6V INLINE AIR FILTERS - VACUUM SERVICE ONLY The Series F6V Inline Air Filter is designed to mount directly in the air piping system for engines, blowers or compressors. The filter element, which is fabricated from pleated paper media, has an efficiency of 99% on 1 micron particles and larger. The housing is designed to withstand a full vacuum. Pressure taps are provided on the intake and discharge nozzles for installation of a pressure drop indicator or switch by the customer. The F6V Inline Air Filter surfaces are prime coated with a red oxide primer. 8 F INLINE AIR FILTERS INLINE AIR FILTERS - VACUUM SERVICE ONLY The series F Inline Filter is a cost-effective alternative to the F6 Series Inline Filter. The F is designed to be mounted in the inlet piping or vacuum system piping for vacuum blowers, engines or compressors. The housing is rated to inches Hg vacuum. The filtering element is polyurethane foam with a stainless steel center core. The filter removes 9% of all particles micron size or larger. The F Inline Air Filter surfaces are painted with a gray machinery enamel finish.
