4 NEW SYSTEM FEATURES NISSANCONNECT SM SERVICES POWERED by SiriusXM (if so equipped) NissanConnect Services is a collection of security and convenience services that add innovation to your daily drive. To enroll in NissanConnect Services, create an account or log into your Nissan Owner Portal with your Vehicle Identification Number or VIN. Under the NissanConnect Services tab, select the red button next to Manage Subscription. Follow the prompts to enroll in NissanConnect Services. Next, download the NissanConnect Services companion app and log into it using your Nissan Owner Portal ID and password. For full details on NissanConnect Services or to enroll your vehicle, please visit or call Here is a quick overview of some of the features that may be available for your vehicle. A full description of these and other NissanConnect Services can be found in your Navigation System Owner s Manual. Automatic Collision Notification, a service that generates an automatic connection between the vehicle and the Emergency Response Center when the vehicle has been involved in an accident that was severe enough to deploy the air bags. Emergency Call (if so equipped), which connects you to a NissanConnect Services Specialist who will assist in the dispatch of emergency services to the vehicle s location. To use this feature, press the SOS button on the overhead console. The SOS button should only be used in emergency situations. Roadside Assistance, which dispatches roadside assistance to the vehicle s location in non-emergency situations. Roadside Assistance can be accessed by touching the headset icon on the map screen, via mobile application or by calling the Roadside Assistance provider directly. Stolen Vehicle Locator, a service that works in coordination with law enforcement agencies to assist in the recovery of a stolen vehicle. Remote Door Lock/Unlock, for use when you forget to lock your vehicle or if you need to open it and do not have the keys. To use this feature, log into the NissanConnect Services companion app or website or contact a NissanConnect Services Response Specialist. Assisted Search, a feature that allows you to verbally request point-of-interest or destination data from a live operator by touching the headset icon on the map screen. Journey Planner, with which you can send a route with a destination and up to five way points directly to the vehicle please go to

5 Boundary Alert, a feature that allows you to monitor the movement of your vehicle in and out of specified regions you have set on the Monitoring section of the NissanConnect Services web portal or companion app, and 3 Speed Alert, which sends you alerts when your vehicle speed exceeds a threshold you have set on the web portal or companion app. To access these features in your vehicle: Press the button 3 on the control panel, then Touch the NissanConnect Services key 4. 4 Please see your Owner s Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and feature information. HILL START ASSIST AND HILL DESCENT CONTROL (if so equipped) HILL START ASSIST Hill Start Assist allows time for the driver to release the brake pedal and apply the accelerator when the vehicle is parked on a hill. The brakes are applied automatically for seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal. Hill Start Assist will operate automatically under these conditions: The shift lever is shifted into a forward or a reverse gear. The vehicle is stopped completely on a hill by applying the brake. Hill Start Assist will not operate when the shift lever is in the N (NEUTRAL) or P (PARK) position or when the vehicle is on a flat and level road. HILL DESCENT CONTROL (if so equipped) Hill Descent Control is designed to apply the brakes to help control the speed of the vehicle and reduce the workload of the driver while descending steep hills. To activate the system: The Hill Descent Control switch must be on. The vehicle must be in 4HI or 4LO (4WD) mode. The shift lever must be in a forward or a reverse gear. Hill Descent Control operates at speeds of 5 mph (5 km/h) or less. To deactivate Hill Descent Control, push the Hill Descent Control switch to the OFF position. 6 NEW SYSTEM FEATURES AROUND VIEW MONITOR (AVM) WITH MOVING OBJECT DETECTION (MOD) (if so equipped) With the ignition switch in the ON position, the Around View Monitor is activated by pressing the CAMERA button, located on the control panel, or by moving the shift lever to the R (REVERSE) position. The monitor displays various views of the position of the vehicle. When the shift lever is in the P (PARK), N (NEUTRAL) or D (DRIVE) position and the CAMERA button is pressed, the following views will display in order: Start from any Control Panel screen Front view & bird s-eye view Press Front view & front-side view Press Press When the shift lever is in the R (REVERSE) position and the CAMERA button is pressed, the following views will display in order: Rear view & bird s-eye view Rear view & front-side view Press Press Rear wide view Press The colored guide lines on the display screen indicate vehicle width and approximate distances to objects with reference to the vehicle body line. 7 When the vehicle s outside mirrors are extended for towing, you may see the mirrors in the bird s-eye view or the front-side view. For information regarding how to access additional viewing cycles, please see your Owner s Manual. There are some areas where the system will not detect objects. When in the front or the rear view display, an object below the bumper or on the ground may not be detected. When in the bird s-eye view, a tall object near the seams of the camera detecting areas 3 will not appear in the monitor. The distance between objects viewed on the Around View Monitor differs from the 3 actual distance. Objects in the bird s-eye view will appear further than the actual distance. MOVING OBJECT DETECTION (MOD) (if so equipped) The MOD system helps inform the driver of moving objects around the vehicle. The system will operate when the shift lever is in the D (DRIVE), N (NEUTRAL), R (REVERSE) or P (PARK) position and the vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 5 mph (8 km/h) or less. 4 If the MOD system detects moving objects, a yellow frame will be displayed on the camera image. When the following is displayed: Blue MOD icon 4 ; the system is active. Gray MOD icon; the system is not active. No MOD icon; the system is off. The indicator will also be off if all of the warning systems are deactivated using the Settings menu. 8 NEW SYSTEM FEATURES BLIND SPOT WARNING (BSW) WITH REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (RCTA) (if so equipped) The BSW helps to alert the driver when another vehicle moves into the vehicle s detection zone. An indicator light located on the outside mirrors will illuminate if the radar sensors detect a vehicle in the detection zone. Push the Warning Systems switch to temporarily turn the system off. When the system is off, the indicator light 3 on the switch and the indicator light 4 in the vehicle information display will extinguish. 5 The indicator light 3 on the switch will also be off if all of the warning systems are deactivated using the Settings menu. 6 3 The indicator lights 3 and 4 will illuminate after the 4 ignition switch is ON and the BSW system is enabled. This indicates that the BSW system is operational. The RCTA system helps to alert the driver of an approaching vehicle when the driver is backing out of a parking space. The system operates when the shift lever is in the R (REVERSE) position and the vehicle speed is less than approximately 5 mph (8 km/h). Push the Parking Sensor (Sonar) System OFF switch 5 to temporarily turn the RCTA system off. When the system is off, the indicator light 6 on the switch will extinguish. The radar sensors detect an approaching vehicle from up to 66 ft (0 m). The sensors are located on both sides of the vehicle near the rear and front bumpers. The system gives visual and audible warnings if an approaching vehicle is detected. 9 TOWING TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER UNIT (if so equipped) The Trailer Brake Controller Unit will assist with effective and smooth braking while towing a trailer. Operating Modes: Automatic: Automatic operation of trailer brake pressure based on gain and boost settings. Manual: Manually applies trailer brake pressure without pressing the vehicle s brake pedal. In automatic mode, the gain controls the amount of trailer braking pressure. To set the gain: Press the or button to decrease or increase the braking force supplied to the trailer brakes. For example, a gain setting of 6.0 is a typical starting point for heavy loads. 3 In automatic mode, the boost can be set to change the feel of the trailer brake when the vehicle s brake pedal is pressed. To set the boost: Press the button once to display the current boost setting. Press the button again to increase the boost level or continue to press the button to return boost to the off position. To manually apply brake pressure to the trailer without pushing the vehicle s brake pedal, pinch the manual control levers 3 together. The amount of pinch pressure applied to the levers 3 will correlate to the amount of brake pressure applied. TRAILER LIGHT CHECKING (if so equipped) Your Nissan Intelligent Key can be used to check the trailer lights from outside the vehicle. If your vehicle is equipped with a three-button key fob, 4 this feature operates in the same manner.. Aim the Intelligent Key at the vehicle.. Press and release the button Within seconds, press the button 4 again and hold it until the horn beeps once and the parking lights turn on. The trailer light check will follow the following sequence: The left turn light on the vehicle and trailer will flash for 5 seconds. The right turn light on the vehicle and trailer will flash for 5 seconds. The brake lights on the vehicle and trailer will turn on for 5 seconds. please go to 7

10 NEW SYSTEM FEATURES GOOSENECK HITCH (if so equipped) The integrated gooseneck hitch is located in the center of the vehicle bed 5. DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) (diesel models only) A DEF Low message will appear in the vehicle information display and the warning light will illuminate if the DEF is low and needs to be topped off. If the fluid is contaminated, it will need to be replaced. DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF) (diesel models only) An Exhaust Filter Overloaded message will appear in the vehicle information display and the warning light will illuminate if the particulate matter has accumulated in the DPF to the specified limit. As soon as safely possible, drive the vehicle at a speed greater than 55 mph (89 km/h) for at least 45 minutes. If the warning light is blinking, refer to the Do-it-yourself (section 6) of your Titan Diesel Owner s Manual. 11 SIRI EYES FREE (if so equipped) If you have a compatible iphone with Siri, you can link your iphone to the Siri Eyes Free function in your vehicle s Bluetooth system. If you have a compatible iphone connected to the system, press and hold the button on the steering wheel for a few seconds and Siri will be activated in Eyes Free mode. For more information, refer to the Monitor, climate, audio, phone and voice recognition systems (section 4) of your Owner s Manual and visit SiriusXM TRAVEL LINK AND SiriusXM TRAFFIC (if so equipped) Your vehicle s Navigation System is equipped with SiriusXM Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic capabilities. SiriusXM Travel Link provides access to real-time weather information and forecasts, nearby fuel prices, movie listings, sports scores and stock quotes. SiriusXM Traffic provides information that may help to avoid delays due to traffic incidents. Traffic jams, roadwork, road closures around the current location, etc., are represented graphically on the map by icons depicting the nature of the event. Incidents on the route are automatically displayed as they are approached. 12 ESSENTIAL INFORMATION TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) WITH EASY-FILL TIRE ALERT A Tire Pressure Low Add Air warning message will appear in the vehicle information display and the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate when one or more tires are low in pressure and air is needed. The tire pressures should be checked when the tires are cold. The tires are considered cold after the vehicle has been parked for 3 hours or more or driven less than mi (.6 km) at moderate speeds. After tire pressures are adjusted, drive the vehicle at speeds above 6 mph (5 km/h). The Tire Pressure Low Add Air warning message and low tire pressure warning light will extinguish. In addition to the Tire Pressure Low Add Air warning message, you can view the individual tire s pressure in the vehicle information display as well as the recommended pressure, denoted by blue lettering, for each tire. When adding air to an under-inflated tire, the TPMS with Easy-Fill Tire Alert provides visual and audible signals to help you inflate the tire to the recommended COLD tire pressure. To use the Easy-Fill Tire Alert:. Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position and apply the parking brake.. Place the ignition switch in the ON position. Do not start the engine. 3. Add air to the under-inflated tire, and within a few seconds, the hazard warning lights will start flashing. 4. When the designated tire pressure is reached, the horn will beep once and the hazard warning flashers will stop flashing. 5. Repeat this procedure for any additional under-inflated tires. When the low tire pressure warning light flashes for minute and then remains on, the TPMS is not functioning properly. Have the system checked. It is recommended you visit a Nissan dealer for this service. Tire pressure rises and falls depending on the heat caused by the vehicle s operation and the outside temperature. Low outside temperature can lower the temperature of the air inside the tire, which can cause a lower tire inflation pressure. This may cause the low tire pressure warning light to illuminate. If the warning light illuminates, check the tire pressure in your tires. Check the tire pressure (including the spare tire) often and always prior to long distance trips. The Tire and Loading Information label contains valuable information. Refer to the Technical and consumer information (section 0) of your Owner s Manual for the location of the Tire and Loading Information label. 13 LOOSE FUEL CAP (gas engine models only) A LOOSE FUEL CAP warning message will display in the vehicle information display/ odometer when the fuel-filler cap is not tightened correctly. To tighten, turn the cap clockwise until a single click is heard. If the cap is not properly tightened, the Malfunction Indicator Light may also illuminate. For more information, refer to the Instruments and controls (section ) and the Pre-driving checks and adjustments (section 3) of your Owner s Manual. FUEL-FILLER DOOR AND DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) CAP The fuel-filler door is located on the driver s side of the vehicle. To open the fuel-filler door, pull the lid open DEF CAP (diesel models only) The DEF cap is located next to the fuel cap behind the fuel-filler door. Please see your Owner s Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and feature information. For more information, refer to the Pre-driving checks and adjustments (section 3) of your Owner s Manual and the Fuel and refueling (section 4) of your Titan Diesel Owner s Manual. WIDE OPEN DOOR (King Cab models only) Do not open the driver s side Wide Open Door to the fully open position while the fuel-filler door is open; only open it as far as the first detent. Opening the door to the fully open position may damage the fuel-filler door and the Wide Open Door. 14 ESSENTIAL INFORMATION CLOCK SET/ADJUSTMENT WITHOUT NAVIGATION (if so equipped). Press the ENTER/SETTING button to show the Settings screen on the display.. Turn the TUNE SCROLL knob to highlight Clock Adjust. 3. Press the ENTER/SETTING button to highlight the hours, minutes or AM/PM and use the TUNE SCROLL knob to adjust the value. 4. Press the ENTER/SETTING button to set the value. 5. Press the BACK button 3 to return to the previous screen. 3 WITH NAVIGATION (if so equipped) To adjust the time and the appearance of the clock on the display:. Press the button 4.. Touch the Settings key. 3. Touch the System key. 4. Touch the Clock/Date key. The following settings can be adjusted: Time Format: The clock can be set to hours or 4 hours. Date Format: The date can be changed to one of two different formats. Clock Mode: From here, the clock mode options are: Manual: Allows for the option Set Clock/Date Manually. Touch this to begin setting the clock manually using the + or to adjust the hours, minutes, day and month up or down. Time Zone: Touch the Time Zone key 5 to choose from the applicable time zone list and/or touch the Daylight Savings Time key to switch between ON and OFF. 5 Auto: Automatically sets the clock to the vehicle s current location. Press the BACK button 6 to return to the previous screen. 15 NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM FIRST DRIVE FEATURES The Nissan Intelligent Key system allows you to lock or unlock the vehicle and start the engine. It is important to make sure the Intelligent Key is with you (that is, in your pocket or purse). The operating range of the Intelligent Key is within 3.5 in (80 cm) of the corresponding request switch. To lock the vehicle, push either door handle request switch (if so equipped) or press the button on the key fob. To unlock the vehicle, perform one of the following procedures: Push either door handle request switch (if so equipped) once and the corresponding 5 door will unlock. Push the request switch (if so equipped) again within 5 seconds; all other doors will unlock, or 3 Press the button 3 on the key fob to 4 unlock the driver s side door. Press the button 3 again; all other doors will unlock. The Intelligent Key can also be used to activate the panic alarm by pressing and holding the button 4 for more than second. Once activated, the panic alarm and headlights will stay on for a period of time. INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY DISCHARGE If the battery of the Intelligent Key is discharged or environmental conditions interfere with the Intelligent Key operation, start the engine according to the following procedure:. Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position.. Firmly apply the foot brake. 3. Touch the ignition switch with the Intelligent Key, and a chime will sound. 4. Within 0 seconds after the chime sounds, press the ignition switch START/STOP button while depressing the brake pedal and the engine will start. REMOTE ENGINE START* (if so equipped) The remote start operating range is approximately 00 ft (60 m) from the vehicle. The effective operating range may be shorter if there are walls, strong radio wave sources near the operating location or other obstructions between the key and the vehicle. For the remote start to function, the vehicle must be in the P (PARK) position with the ignition off and all of the doors must be closed and locked. 16 FIRST DRIVE FEATURES To start your vehicle remotely:. Press the button to lock all of the doors.. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the engine start button 5 for at least seconds. The engine will start, and the parking lights will turn on. While the remote start feature is being used, the manual or automatic climate control system will default to the last used heating or cooling mode. The engine will run for 0 minutes and then turn off. Repeat steps through to extend the time for an additional 0-minute period. Remote start can only be activated for a maximum of 0 minutes. After two remote starts, the ignition switch must be cycled before the remote start can be used again. To cancel remote start, press the engine start button 5. To start driving, depress the brake pedal and press the ignition switch START/STOP button. OPENING THE TAILGATE Pull the tailgate handle upward and lower the tailgate. Support cables hold the tailgate open. Please see your Owner s Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and feature information. For more information, refer to the Pre-driving checks and adjustments (section 3) of your Owner s Manual. POWER SEAT ADJUSTMENTS (if so equipped) To slide the seat forward or backward, push the switch forward or backward. To adjust the angle of the seatback, push the switch forward or backward. SEAT LIFTER (driver s seat) To adjust the angle and height of the seat cushion, push the front or rear end of the switch up or down. 3 POWER LUMBAR SUPPORT (driver s seat) To adjust the lumbar area, push the front or back end of the switch 3. 17 REAR SEATS (if so equipped) To access the under seat storage (if so equipped): Pull up the bottom of the seat toward the rear of the vehicle to fold the seat. Lift the flat floor panels toward the seat. When not in use, the storage bin s cover may be locked. To use the flat floor feature (if so equipped): Pull up the bottom of the seat toward the rear of the vehicle to fold the seat. Pull the handle of the smaller top panel toward the rear of the vehicle. Pull the flat floor panels 3 up and toward the front seats to fully unfold them and place them on the floor. Up to 47 lbs ( kg) of cargo can be attached to the flat floor panels using bungee cords. Only use bungee cords rated at the appropriate strength. For more information, refer to the Instruments and controls (section ) of your Owner s Manual. 3 OUTSIDE MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH (if so equipped) The outside mirror control switch is located on the driver s side door panel. To select the left or right mirror, turn the knob to select the desired mirror. Adjust each mirror to the desired position by pushing the side of the knob up, down, left, or right. REVERSE TILT-DOWN FEATURE (if so equipped) The reverse tilt-down feature will turn both outside mirror surfaces downward to provide better rear visibility close to the vehicle.. Apply the brake.. Place the ignition switch in the ON position. please go to 5

18 FIRST DRIVE FEATURES 3. Move the shift lever to the R (REVERSE) position. 4. Both outside mirror surfaces will turn downward. (The mirror control switch must be out of the center [neutral] position.) The outside mirror surfaces will return to their original positions when one of the following conditions occurs: The shift lever is moved to any position other than R (REVERSE). The outside mirror control switch is set to the center (neutral) position. The ignition switch is placed in the OFF position. POWER FOLDING OUTSIDE MIRRORS (if so equipped) To open or close the mirrors, push the switch. For more information, refer to the Pre-driving checks and adjustments (section 3) of your Owner s Manual. AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSITIONER (if so equipped) Two positions for the driver s seat, steering column and outside mirrors (if so equipped) can be stored in the automatic drive positioner memory. Follow this procedure to set the memory positions: Confirm that the shift lever is in the P (PARK) position. Place the ignition switch in the ON or ACC position. Adjust the driver s seat, steering column and outside mirrors (if so equipped) to the desired positions using the adjusting switches for each feature. Push the SET switch, and within 5 seconds, push the memory switch ( or ) for at least second. The indicator light on the memory switch you select will illuminate for approximately 5 seconds. The driver s seat, steering column and outside mirror positions (if so equipped) are now set to your preferences. These memorized positions can also be linked to your Nissan Intelligent Key. To link a memorized position to your Nissan Intelligent Key, press the unlock button on the key fob after completing the previous step. 19 HEADLIGHT CONTROL SWITCH Turn the headlight control switch to the position to turn on the front parking, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights. Turn the control switch to the position to turn on the headlights. AUTOLIGHT SYSTEM (if so equipped) The autolight system will automatically turn the headlights on when it is dark and off when it is light. The system will keep the headlights on for a period of time after you 5 turn the ignition off and all the doors are closed. 6 To activate the autolight system, turn the headlight control switch to the AUTO position 3 then place the ignition switch in the ON position. To deactivate the autolight system, turn the headlight control switch to the OFF position 4, position or position. HIGH BEAM SELECT With the headlights ON (either in the AUTO or position), push the lever forward 5 to select the high beam function. The blue indicator light will illuminate in the instrument panel. Pull the lever back to the original position to select the low beam function and the blue indicator light will extinguish. Pull and release the lever 6 to flash the headlight high beams on and off. FOG LIGHT SWITCH (if so equipped) The headlights must be on and the low 8 beams selected for the fog lights to operate. Push the bottom of the switch 7 to turn the fog lights on. 7 To turn them off, push the top of the switch 8. The fog lights will turn off if the headlights are turned off. LANE CHANGE SIGNAL Move the lever up or down until the turn signal begins to flash but the lever does not latch to signal a lane change. Hold the lever until the lane change is completed. Move the lever up or down until the turn signal begins to flash but the lever does not latch and release the lever. The turn signal will automatically flash three times. Choose the appropriate method to signal a lane change based on the road and traffic conditions. 20 FIRST DRIVE FEATURES WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH Rotate the control ring to one of the following positions to operate the windshield wipers: Mist (MIST) One sweep operation of the wipers. Auto (AUTO) (if so equipped) Operates the rain-sensing wipers intermittently. The intermittent speed can be adjusted by rotating the control ring to increase or decrease wiper sensitivity. 3 Low (LO) Wipers operate at a continuous low-speed. 4 High (HI) Wipers operate at a continuous high-speed. 4 HI 3 LO AUTO 5 To activate the washer, press the button on the end of the lever. The wipers will operate several times. For more information, refer to the Instruments and controls (section ) of your Owner s Manual. OFF MIST 5 STARTING/STOPPING THE ENGINE It is important to make sure the Nissan Intelligent Key is with you (that is, in your pocket or purse). Depress the brake pedal. Press the ignition switch START/STOP button to start the engine. TURNING THE ENGINE OFF Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position. Press the ignition switch START/STOP button to turn the engine off. START HESITATION (diesel models only) The starter for diesel models is designed to not engage until the glow plugs have had sufficient time to warm up. Engine Warming Keep Foot on Brake If the glow plugs need to warm up, the Engine Warming Keep Foot on Brake message will appear in the vehicle information display when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position. Keep the brake pedal depressed and wait until the Engine Warming Keep Foot on Brake message extinguishes. During cold weather, the glow plugs may need approximately 4 seconds to warm up. 8 please go to

AUTO BUTTON/DRIVER S SIDE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL The automatic mode may be used year-round. Press the AUTO button to turn the automatic mode on, and the system will automatically control the inside temperature (automatic cooling and/or dehumidified heating), air flow distribution and fan speed. Turn the driver s side temperature control dial left for cooler air or right for warmer air. 3 DUAL BUTTON/PASSENGER S SIDE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL Press the DUAL button to turn the passenger s side temperature controls on or off. This will allow the passenger s side temperature to be adjusted independently from the driver s side. Turn the passenger s side temperature control dial left for cooler air or right for warmer air. 4 FAN SPEED CONTROL BUTTON Press the side or side of the button to decrease or increase the fan speed. 5 MODE BUTTON Press the MODE button to manually control air flow. Air flows from the center and side vents. Air flows from the center, side and foot vents. Air flows mainly from the foot vents. Air flows from the front defroster and foot vents. please go to 9

22 FIRST DRIVE FEATURES 6 DEFROSTING/DEFOGGING FRONT AND SIDE WINDOWS Press the front defroster button to turn the system on. The A/C automatically turns on when the front defroster mode is selected. This feature removes humidity from the air. Set the temperature control dial and the fan speed control button 4 to their maximum settings. 7 REAR WINDOW AND/OR OUTSIDE MIRROR DEFROSTER SWITCH (if so equipped) Push the rear window defroster switch to turn the system on or off. The rear window defroster automatically turns off after approximately 5 minutes. 8 FRESH AIR INTAKE CONTROL BUTTON Press the fresh air intake control button to draw outside air into the passenger compartment. The indicator light on the button will illuminate. 9 AIR RECIRCULATION BUTTON Press the air recirculation button to recirculate air inside the vehicle. The indicator light on the button will illuminate. This system is used to avoid certain outside odors and to help adjust the inside vehicle temperature more effectively. Press the air recirculation button again to turn air recirculation off. This allows outside air to be drawn into the passenger compartment to prevent fogging in the front defroster, floor or front defroster/floor mode. The air recirculation mode cannot be activated when the climate control system is in the front defroster mode. 0 A/C BUTTON Press the A/C button to manually turn the A/C on or off. USB (Universal Serial Bus) CONNECTION PORT/AUX JACK AND ipod INTERFACE The USB port/aux jack is located on the control panel below the climate controls. When a compatible USB memory device or ipod is plugged into the USB port, compatible audio files stored on the device can be played through the vehicle s audio system and front display. Turn the VOLUME control knob to the right or left to increase or decrease the volume. ENTER/AUDIO BUTTON/TUNE SCROLL KNOB Press the ENTER/AUDIO button to go to the audio settings screen. To manually tune the radio, turn the TUNE SCROLL knob left or right. 3 SEEK BUTTONS To tune and stop at the previous or next broadcast station, press the seek buttons or. For satellite radio to switch to the first channel of the previous or next category, press the seek buttons or. To change tracks on a CD, press the seek buttons or. To rewind or fast forward a track on a CD, press and hold the seek buttons or. 4 STATION SELECT KEYS Twelve stations can be set for the FM band, six for the AM band and 8 for satellite radio. To store a station in a preset, you must first select a radio band by pressing the FM AM button 5 or SXM button 6 then tune to the desired FM, AM or satellite radio station. Next touch and hold the desired station select key (-6) until a beep is heard. The channel indicator will appear on the display, and the sound will resume. Programing is now complete. To retrieve a previously set station, select the radio band where the preset was stored then touch the corresponding station select key (-6). 24 FIRST DRIVE FEATURES CRUISE CONTROL The cruise control system enables you to set a constant cruising speed once the vehicle 4 has reached 5 mph (40 km/h). The system will automatically maintain the 3 set speed until you tap the brake pedal, accelerate, cancel or turn the system off. To activate the cruise control, push the ON/ OFF switch on the steering wheel. The (white) in the vehicle information display will illuminate. To set a cruising speed, accelerate the vehicle to the desired speed, push the COAST/SET switch on the steering wheel and release. The (green) in the vehicle information display will illuminate. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal. Your vehicle will maintain the set speed. To reset at a faster cruising speed, push up and hold the ACCEL/RES switch 3 on the steering wheel. When the vehicle attains the desired speed, release the switch. To reset at a slower cruising speed, push down and hold the COAST/SET switch on the steering wheel. Release the switch when the vehicle slows to the desired speed. To cancel the preset speed, tap the brake pedal or push the CANCEL switch 4 on the steering wheel. To turn off cruise control, push the ON/OFF switch on the steering wheel. The indicator light in the vehicle information display will extinguish. 25 POWER OUTLETS V OUTLETS The V power outlets are only powered when the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position. The V power outlets are for powering electrical accessories such as cellular phones. The power outlets located below the control panel, on the passenger s side of the control panel and inside the center console 3 are powered directly by the 3 vehicle s battery. To use a power outlet, open the cap. 0V OUTLETS (if so equipped) 0V power outlets are not powered directly by the battery and require the ignition switch to be in the ON position and the power inverter switch 4 to be depressed. 400W mode is only available with the shift lever in the P (PARK) position. The 0V power outlets are for powering electrical devices up to 0V. The power outlets located in the nd row, behind the center console 5, and in the truck box 6 are powered directly by the 5 vehicle s battery. 27 HANDS-FREE TEXT MESSAGING ASSISTANT* This system allows for sending and receiving text messages through the vehicle s interface. Using predefined or custom messages, send a text to a name or phone number stored in your Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System. Once enabled, the text message, sender and delivery time are shown on the control panel display when the vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h). Text messages have the option of being read aloud at all vehicle speeds. Many cellular phones may require special permission to enable text messaging. Check the cellular phone s screen during Bluetooth pairing. For some cellular phones, you need to enable Notifications in the cellular phone s Bluetooth menu for text messages to appear on the touch-screen display. Text message integration requires that the cellular phone support Message Access Profile (MAP) for both receiving and sending text messages. 28 SYSTEM GUIDE NISSANCONNECT SM MOBILE APPS (if so equipped) 6 Your vehicle may be equipped with NissanConnect SM Mobile Apps, allowing you to control various compatible smartphone applications through the vehicle s display screen. A basic package is included for a period of time from the original in-service date of the vehicle. To enroll in NissanConnect SM Mobile Apps:. Create a Nissan Owner Portal account at owners.nissanusa.com. Make sure to include your vehicle s VIN when creating your account.. Under the NissanConnect Mobile Apps tab, select the red button next to Manage Subscription to enroll. 3. Next, download the NissanConnect SM Mobile Apps companion app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Log into the companion app using your Nissan Owner Portal ID and password. 4. Launch the app, select United States, and accept the Terms and Conditions. 5. Select Sign In, then sign in with the username and password you created when registering on the Nissan Owner Portal website. Pair your cellular phone to the vehicle. You can select which apps you want activated in the vehicle from the NissanConnect SM Mobile Apps companion app by selecting Manage My Apps. Some apps shown in the companion app may not appear in your vehicle depending on availability for your model. Some apps require you to have the app downloaded and installed on your phone, while others require you to enter your username and password to log in. Not all apps shown on the NissanConnect application site are available on all models. BLUETOOTH HANDS-FREE PHONE SYSTEM* A cellular telephone should not be used while driving so full attention may be given to vehicle operation. SYSTEM OPERATING TIPS Press the button on the steering wheel to interrupt the voice prompts at any time and speak a command after the tone. To use the system faster, you may speak the second level commands with the main menu command on the main menu. For example, press the button on the steering wheel, and after the tone, say Redial. The Help command can be used to hear a list of available commands at any time. Reduce background noise as much as Microphone possible by closing windows and pointing HVAC vents away from the ceiling. Speak naturally without long pauses and without raising your voice. To cancel a Voice Recognition session, say Cancel or Quit or press and hold the button on the steering wheel for 5 seconds. To increase or decrease the volume of the voice prompts, push the volume control switches + or on the steering wheel or turn the volume control dial on the audio system while the audio system is responding. PHONEBOOK SETUP The phonebook stores up to,000 entries for each cellular phone paired with the system. Depending on your cellular phone, the system may automatically download your cellular phone s entire phonebook to the vehicle s Bluetooth system. MAKING A CALL FROM THE PHONEBOOK. Press the button on the steering wheel.. After waiting for the tone, say Call followed by the name of a phonebook entry. For example, Call Michael Smith. 3. Confirm the correct name is recognized by saying Dial after the tone. MAKING A CALL BY PHONE NUMBER. Press the button on the steering wheel. A tone will sound.. Say: Phone. Your compatible device can be connected to the vehicle s audio system, allowing audio files to play through the vehicle s speakers. CONNECTING PROCEDURE. Press the button on the control panel.. 33 NISSAN MOBILE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (MES) (if so equipped) With the MES, you can play DVD videos, video CDs or CDs that contain music or sound content. Images will display on the corresponding monitor. Sound will play from the vehicle s audio system (or wireless headphones provided in the kit) or your own wired headphones after connecting them to the headphone jacks of the corresponding DVD player.. Place the ignition switch in the ACC or ON position.. Press the (power) button on each monitor control panel to power on. 3. For the best audio sound quality, please ensure you are facing the monitor directly in 5 front of you. The wireless headphones will only operate in 6 the line of sight. The real-time map display and turn-by-turn voice guidance will lead you along the route. The Navigation System will continually update your vehicle s position. 35 To help promote safe driving, some functions cannot be operated or have limited operation when the vehicle speed is above 5 mph (8 km/h). The on-screen text and keys for these restricted functions will be grayed-out or muted and cannot be selected while driving. To program the HomeLink Universal Transceiver: Position the handheld transceiver -3 in (6-76 mm) away from the HomeLink surface, keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view. Press and hold the desired HomeLink button and the handheld transmitter button simultaneously until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. Both buttons may be released when the indicator light flashes rapidly. To verify the programing is complete, press and hold the HomeLink button and observe the indicator light: A solid, continuous light indicates the programing is complete and the HomeLink button will activate your device. A blinking light that turns to a solid, continuous light after seconds indicates additional steps are required to complete the programing. An additional person may make the remaining steps easier. To complete the programing process: At the receiver of the device that you are programing to the HomeLink button, press and release the learn or smart button (the name may vary by manufacturer, but it is usually located near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). You have approximately 30 seconds to initiate the following step. Press and hold the programed HomeLink button for seconds and release. You may have to repeat the previous two steps up to three times to complete the programing process. HomeLink should now activate your device.
