2 E DOLPHIN S QUALITY TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION 1. Constructed of pure Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) Copper for highest conductivity; annealed to insure maximum installed strength. 2. Constructed in one, burr-free piece for maximum strength. 3. Electro-Tin plated for maximum corrosion resistance. 4. Wire range clearly stamped on each terminal for positive identifi cation. 5. Constructed with open end to allow visual inspection of wire location before and after crimp. 6. Serrated with multiple ˇV grooves for maximum holding power and current fl ow. 7. Approved color coding for easy wire size identifi cation. 8. Funnel Entry design actually groups wire strands together for fast, easy, positive entry into terminal barrel. This eliminates wire strand hang-up and positions wire perfectly for a more positive crimp. 9. Defi ned electrical crimp area insures accurate conductor crimp. 10. Mechanical/lnsulation crimp area relieves stress from electrical crimp and provides additional wire insulation support. 11. UL and CSA. TECHNICAL INFORMATION 1. 30 M ILITARY SPECIFICATIONS MIL-T-7928 is the most commonly used government specifi cation for solderless terminals. This specification permits the use of Class 1 and Class 2 terminals. Type I Class 1 terminals are uninsulated terminals which when crimped with a MS approved crimping tool, meet the performance requirements of the specifi cation. Type II Class 1 terminals are insulated terminals which when crimped with a MS approved tool, meet the performance requirements of the specification. Both Type I Class 2 and Type II Class 2 terminals are those which when crimped with tooling recommended by the manufacturer, meet the performance requirements of the specifications. The Dolphin terminals which meet or exceed these military specifi cations are listed below. Other military specification terminals are available. -30
