1. Technical data The instructions describe the overrunning clutch with clutch shift in horizontal mounting position with shaft hub connection by cylindrical bore with parallel key. Where other shaft hub connections are to be used (e.g. conical bores with parallel key, shrink fit or splines to standard "DIN 5480") Siemens should be consulted. If a dimensioned drawing has been made out for the clutch, the data in this drawing must be given priority. The dimensioned drawing including any other documents should be made available to the user of the system. Part numbers and part designations can be found in the spare parts drawing and spare parts list in section 7 or on the dimensioned drawing. 1.1 Torques, speeds, geometric data and weights Sizes 325 / 450 / 560 / 660 3) 4) U W 1 3 C E S2 2 X 1) ND1 D1 v NL1 v S v NL2 v D2 ND2 DA 2) Fig. 1: UZWN overrunniung clutch, sizes 325 / 450 / 560 / 660 1) Left hand version, counter clockwise 2) Right hand version, clockwise 3) Drive side 4) Output side Table 1: Speeds, geometric data and weights of the UZWN overrunning clutch, Sizes 325 / 450 / 560 / 660 Output Input Bore 1) Stroke Weight Size n max. 10 1.2 General description of the UZWN overrunning clutch ) ) Fig. 5: UZWN overrunning clutch 1) Sizes 325 / 450 / 560 / 660 2) Sizes 330 / 460 / 610 The type UZWN overrunning clutch is a directionally actuated freewheel clutch. Clutch part 1 is fitted on the motor or a driving gear unit shaft. The clutch part 2 is fitted on the driven machine shaft or driven gear unit shaft. The overrunning clutch is engaged in the stationary condition by shifting the clutch part 3 axially. As soon as the speed of clutch part 2 is higher than that of clutch part 3, independent disengagement caused by the angled faces of the engaging dogs on clutch part 2 and part 3 takes place. Motor and driven machine unit are then disengaged mechanically. The overrunning clutch is suitable only for horizontal arrangement. Engage clutch part 3 only when it is in the stationary condition. The overrunning clutch may be optionally constructed as a left hand version for counter clockwise rotation or as a right hand version for clockwise rotation, seen from the driving shaft end (clutch part 3). 10 / 25

1.3 General description of the KSUN clutch shift X X Fig. 6: KSUN clutch shift, manually operated with blocking The KSUN clutch shift is suitable for attachment to and operation of the UZWN overrunning clutch. The shifting fork (1) engages in the groove around clutch part 3 by the cam rollers (19) and shifts the UZWN overrunning clutch. The shift fork (1) can be manually operated by means of the shift lever (5). The shift position of the UZWN overrunning clutch is identified by proximity indicators. The signals can be transmitted to a control system. The clutch shift must be actuated only while the machine is at a standstill. Attention! Danger of squeezing. When the UZWN overrunning clutch overruns, clutch part 3 is pushed back. The clutch shift moves into the "disengaged" position in jerks. During overrun disengagement is jerky. Attention! There is a risk of injury through the movement of the clutch shift. The clutch shift is retained by means of the locking piece (15) until manual engaging. The UZWN overrunning clutch must not be held in an engaged position against axial forces, e.g. from the work process. 11 / 25

2. Notes 2.1 Safety instructions and general notes All persons involved in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the overrunning clutch or the clutch shift must have read and understood these instructions and must comply with them at all times. Disregarding these instructions may cause damage to the product and material and/or injury to persons. Damage caused by disregard of these instructions will result in exclusion of liability. During transport, installation, dismantling, operation and maintenance of the unit, the relevant safety and environmental regulations must be complied with at all times. Lifting gears and load equipment for handling the unit must be suitable for the weight of the overrunning clutch or clutch shift. Dispose of the overrunning clutch or clutch shift in accordance with national regulations or separate them for recycling. The overrunning clutch and clutch shift must be stored in a dry environment. Adequate preservation must be carried out. Operators and users must not make any changes to the overrunning clutch or clutch shift themselves over and above the action specified in these instructions. If there is any visible damage the overrunning clutch or clutch shift must not be fitted and not be put into operation. The overrunning clutch or clutch shift must not be operated unless housed in a suitable enclosure in accordance with the standards applying. This also applies to test runs and when checking the direction of rotation. All work on the overrunning clutch or clutch shift must be carried out only when it is at a standstill. Secure the drive unit to prevent unintentional switch on! A notice should be attached to the ON switch stating clearly that work on the overrunning clutch or clutch shift is in progress. In addition to any generally prescribed personal safety equipment (such as safety shoes, safety clothing, helmet) handling the overrunning clutch or clutch shift requires wearing suitable safety gloves and suitable safety glasses. Only spare parts made by the manufacturer Siemens must be used. Any enquiries should be addressed to: Siemens AG Schlavenhorst Bocholt Tel.: +49 (0)2871 / 92-0 Fax: +49 (0)2871 / / 25

3. Fitting The clutch parts are supplied in finished condition in accordance with the order. A set screw to standard "DIN 916" with cup point must be used when securing the clutch parts. If the clutch part fitted on the shaft does not lie up against the shaft shoulder, we recommend using grooved spacer rings. The overrunning clutches are balanced to the customer's specifications. 3.1 Notes to the fit pairs of the bore and shaft Check the fits of the bores and the shafts. Table 5: Fit recommendation for bores with parallel key connection Description Push fit Press fit Interference fit not suitable for reversing operation suitable for reversing operation Shaft tolerance j6 h6 h6 k6 m6 n6 h6 Bore tolerance H7 J7 K7 H7 H7 H7 M7 The fit assignment m6 / H7 is particularly suitable for many applications. Failure to observe these instructions may result in breakage of the overrunning clutch. Danger to life from flying fragments. 3.2 Fitting the UZWN overrunning clutch Fitting the UZWN overrunning clutch, sizes 325 / 450 / 560 / 660 The subassembly clutch part 1 (1; 3; 5; 6; 7; 8; 10; 11; 50; 51; 52) is delivered in pre assembled condition. Unscrew the set screw. Clean the bores and shaft ends. The bellows (50) must not come into contact with solvents and cleaning agents. Insert parallel keys in the shaft ends. Undo the screw connection (51; 52) on the subassembly clutch part 1 (1; 3; 5; 6; 7; 8; 10; 11; 50; 51; 52) and demount the bellows (50). Undo cheese head screws (11) and demount dust protection (10). Push bellows (50) onto shaft. Coat the bores of the coupling parts (1; 2) and the shafts with MoS 2 mounting paste (e.g. Microgleit LP 405). Mount clutch part 1 and clutch part 2, heat up to maximum 150 C, if necessary. Axial securing is effected by means of the set screw. Clutch part 3 must be shifted on clutch part 1 in order to enable the set screw to be tightened. Fit the set screw (for tightening torque of the set screw see table 8). Failure to observe these instructions may result in breakage of the coupling. Danger to life from flying fragments. With bolts (51) fasten the bellows (50) to clutch part 1 and with bolts (52) to clutch part / 25

With cheese head screw (6) fasten stop (5) (for tightening torques, see table 7). With cheese head screws (11) screw dust protection (10) to clutch part 3 (for tightening torques, see table 7). Align the clutch as described in item Fitting the UZWN overrunning clutch, sizes 330 / 460 / 610 Unscrew the set screw. Clean the bores and shaft ends. S2 max.. 1) 2) 3) Fig. 7: Possible misalignments 1) Axial misalignment (ΔKa) 2) Angular misalignment (ΔKw) 3) Radial misalignment (ΔKr) Axial misalignment The gap dimension ΔKa should be set within the deviation permitted for the dimension "S2" (see table 6) Angular misalignment The angular misalignment ΔKw can be measured as difference of the gap dimension (ΔS2 = S2 max. S2 min. ) ΔS2 perm. see table 6. If required, the permissible angular misalignment ΔKw can be calculated as follows: ΔKw perm. in RAD = ΔS2 perm. / DA ΔS2 perm. see table 6. ΔKw perm. in DEGREE = (ΔS2 perm. / DA) x (180 / π) "DA" in mm, see section Radial misalignment The permissible radial misalignment ΔKr perm. can be found in table Alignment When aligning, the angular and radial misalignment should be kept as low as possible. Misalignment values specified in table 6 are maximum permissible overall values in operation, resulting from mispositioning through imprecision during alignment and misalignment through operation (e.g. deformation through load, heat expansion). Reduced misalignment in the clutch minimises expected wear on the flexible elements. Misalignment in the clutch gives rise to restorative forces which may impose inadmissible stress on adjacent machine parts (e.g. bearings). 15 / 25

3.5 Shaft misalignment values during operation The following maximum permissible misalignment values must by no means be exceeded during operation. When aligning, the angular and radial misalignment should be kept as low as possible. Table 6: Shaft misalignment values ΔS perm. and ΔKr perm., maximum permissible during operation Axial misalignment Angular misalignment Radial misalignment Size ΔKa ΔKw perm ΔKr perm S2 S2 max.. S2 min. mm mm mm Fitting the KSUN clutch shift Using lifting gear transport the clutch shift by the eye bolts (9). Mount the clutch shift after fitting and aligning the overrunning clutch. Demount the shift fork (1) by removing the retaining pins (11) and locking rings (10). The base plate (7) can then be bolted to the foundation. Remove eye bolts (9). Use quality 8.8 screws or higher for fastening. Fit the shift fork (1) with the retaining pins (11) and the locking rings (10) so that the cam rollers (16) engage in the groove running around clutch part 3. Align the base plate to ensure that the two cam rollers (16) are in even contact with the side of the groove and both bearings act at an axial height at more or less the same depth in the groove. Mark the position of the locking piece (15) on the shift fork (1) for the shift DISENGAGED position and at this point drill a hole with diameter d = 12 mm. Check that the locking piece (15) locks in correctly. Check tightening torques against item 3.7 and, if necessary, retighten the bolts. 16 / 25

Fit the B20 and B40 proximity indicators, as described. Gap dimension between proximity indicator and UZWN overrunning clutch = 3 ± 0.5 mm. Engage and disengage the UZWN overrunning clutch manually and signals. Signals B20 and B40 must not be given at the same time. 3 ± ) 2) Fig. 8: Fitting the proximity indicators 1) UZWN overrunning clutch, shift position DESENGAGED 2) UZWN overrunning clutch, shift position "ENGAGED 1 B20 proximity indicator 2 B40 proximity indicator 3 Eye bolt, Part no. 9 The control system of the main drive must be connected to the proximity indicators of the clutch shift. 18 3.7 Assignment of tightening torques The use of impact screwdrivers is not permissible. Tightening torques apply to bolts with untreated surfaces which are not or only lightly oiled (coefficient of friction μ = 0.14). The use of lubricant paint or lubricant which affects the coefficient of friction "μ" is not permitted. The specified tightening torques "T A " must be complied with, applying standard "DIN / ", Screw Connection Class "C", with an output torque scatter of ± 5 %. Tighten hexagon head bolt (12) for fastening the sliding bearings (14) to 25 Nm and secure medium firmly with LOCTITE. Check the position and operation of the proximity indicators to determine the shift position. Enclosures (coupling protection, contact prevention at least IP2X) must be fitted. Overload conditions during start up cannot be excluded. If the overrunning clutch breaks through overload, metal parts may fly off and cause personal injury and/or material damage. Follow the following switching on procedure for start up and subsequent operation. Manual operation of the clutch shift Main motor "OFF" Shift position DISENGAGED UZWN overrunning clutch is disengaged, the proximity indicator has gives signal B20. Shift KSUN clutch shift mechanically and adjust UZWN overrunning clutch. If signal B40 is given, start auxiliary drive, then enable main drive. If signal B40 is not given, start auxiliary drive briefly and once more try to adjust KSUN clutch shift. The overrunning clutch must run with little noise and without vibration. Irregular behaviour must be treated as a fault requiring immediate remedy. In case of fault the drive must be stopped at once. The necessary measures for repair must be taken in accordance with the safety regulations applying. 18 / 25

Faults, causes and remedy Table 9: Faults, dangers and measures Changes in running noise; Vibrations Faults Dangers Measures Sliding surfaces contaminated. 5.1 Possible cause of the fault Failure of the plant. Change in alignment: Rectify the cause of the change in alignment (e.g. loose foundation bolts). Align the overrunning clutch. Check axial fastening; adjust as necessary. Sliding surfaces contaminated: Clean, check and, if necessary, replace clutch parts and shift components. 5.2 Incorrect use Trouble-shooting in accordance with item 5.1 and item 5.2 and remedy the cause. Check all parts of the coupling for any damage. Replace damaged parts. For re-assembly, the instructions in sections 3 and 4 must be observed. Failure to observe these instructions may result in breakage of the overrunning clutch. Danger to life from flying fragments Frequent faults when selecting the overrunning clutch and/or the size of the overrunning clutch Important information for describing the drive and the environment are not communicated. System torque too high. System speed too high. Application factor not correctly selected. Chemically aggressive environment is not taken into consideration. The ambient temperature is not permissible. Finished bore with inadmissible diameter and/or inadmissible fit assignment. Machining of parallel keyways of which the width across corners is greater than the width across corners of the parallel keyways to standard "DIN 6885/1" with a maximum permissible bore. The transmission capacity of the shaft hub connection is not appropriate to the operating conditions. Maximum load or overload conditions are not being taken into consideration. Dynamic load conditions are not being taken into consideration. Shaft hub connection resulting in impermissible material stress on the overrunning clutch. Operating conditions are being changed without authorisation. 19 / 25

5.2.2 Frequent faults when fitting the overrunning clutch Components with transport or other damage are being fitted. The shaft diameter is beyond the specified tolerance range. Coupling parts are being interchanged, i. e. their assignment to the specified shaft is incorrect. Specified axial fastenings are not fitted. Specified tightening torques are not being adhered to. Bolts are inserted dry or greased. Flange surfaces of screwed connections have not been cleaned. Alignment and/or shaft misalignment values do not match the specifications in the instructions manual. The coupled machines are not correctly fastened to the foundation, and as a result shifting of the machines e.g. through loosening of the foundation screw connection is causing excessive displacement of the coupling parts. The coupled machines are not sufficiently earthed. The coupling guard used is not suitable Frequent faults in maintenance Maintenance intervals are not being adhered to. No genuine spare parts are being used. Old or damaged spare parts are being used. Leakage in the vicinity of the overrunning clutch is not being identified and as a result chemically aggressive media are damaging the overrunning clutch. Fault indications (noise, vibrations, etc.) are not being observed. Specified tightening torques are not being adhered to. Alignment and/or shaft misalignment values do not match the specifications in the instructions manual. 6. Maintenance and repair 6.1 Maintenance interval UZWN overrunning clutch Check tightness and porosity of the bellows (50) regularly, at least once yearly.
