Clean and dry compressed air Air leaving any conventional air compressor is saturated with water vapor and may also contain small quantities of oil and atmospheric dirt particles. If allowed to remain in the system this corrosive mixture has a detrimental effect on pneumatic equipment. CompAir filters remove the oil and dirt from compressed air while CompAir dryers remove water vapor before it reaches the point of use. The clean, dry air provided by CompAir air treatment products extends equipment life, reduces maintenance costs and improves efficiency and reliability. CompAir filters and dryers are sized to match the requirements of modern air compressors covering outputs from 19 CFM to CFM with dryers providing dew points as low as -100 F. Low operating pressure drops mean that your compressor can operate at a lower working pressure than would be required with other filters. Lower working pressures result in reduced energy consumption. To meet varying requirements, CompAir filters are available in five filtration grades: Grade B - High Efficiency General Purpose Protection Particle removal down to 1 micron, including water and oil aerosols. Deep Bed Pleating For particle and aerosol removal, deep bed pleating provides 4.5 x more filter media than an ordinary element. This allows for a larger filtration surface area, lower flow velocities, increased dirt holding capacity, lower running costs and a more compact filter element. Graded density further improves filter life and overall performance. Oil Vapor Removal Graded density nanofiber filter media While mechanical filtration is capable of removing extremely fine liquids and solid particles, it cannot remove gaseous contaminants such as oil vapor or odors. To efficiently remove these vapors, OIL-X EVOLUTION ACS/OVR filters employ adsorption techniques using a deep bed of activated carbon.
