They can be used as a classical condensate collector as well as equalising tang, mixing tank, overflow vessel or pearl vessel. 7 10 Barrel Pump 7P 1. For secure fermentation of wine 2. FDA-approval of all wetted parts 3. Low-wear 4. Easy handling So wine can ferment in peace, the lid is placed in the barrels. This prevents air from entering inside. The lid has a tube around the edge. To make this absolutely tight, it is inflated by the barrel pump made of PVDF. Upon reaching the desired pressure the ball valve can be used to prevent the ventilation of the tube. All wetted parts of the barrel pump comply with the guidelines of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Tel Fax Version 11/2017 Page 870

9 10 Special Ball Valves To get a larger spectrum of applications, our ball valves can easily be modified by adapting peripheral equipment. Our example barrel ball valve shows how to convert a normal 3-way ball valve into a 2-way elbow ball valve for barrel draining: One of the outlets will be savely closed (welded) and one of the other outlets will be fitted with a flange bush with a loose hexagon nut. So the new 2-way ball valve can be screwed on an existing male thread. Such modifications can be made with nearly each of our series 6L ball valves. They can easily be connected with loose nuts, tri-clamp connections or flanges. But you do not have to do those modifications by yourself. We will do this for you. Shorter assembly time Wherever aggressive gases and liquids are to be safely and reliably shut-off, isolated, mixed or distributed, a ball valve is the ideal solution. In our ball valve systems, several Series 6R ball valves are integrated in a block. Inside the block we use the proven construction principle of our Series 6L ball valves. The ball valves are controlled by an electrical part turn actuator. Due to the compact design of the system there are shorter pathways and dead volume is minimized. Assembly time is also shorter. With a dosing system you can mix several media into one. The series 5A fine control valves allow the exact dosing of the single media for creating the required mixture ratio. Before the media are merged, our integrated series 6L ball valves enable easy sampling. On the basis of our series 8B manifolds this or other similar applications can be achieved.
