The compressed air moves the piston, and the cursore, that mooves through a fissure in the barrel, is joined the other section. 3 NEW VERSION OSP ( ORIGA SYSTEM PLUS) Based on the Origa rodless cylinder, proven in world wide markets, HOERBIGER-ORIGA now offer the complete solution for linear drive system. Designed for absolute reliability, high performance, ease of use and optimised engineering the ORIGA SYSTEM PLUS satisfied even the most demanding applications. ORIGA SYSTEM PLUS It is a totally modular concept which offers the choice of pneumatic or electric actuation, with guidance and control modules to suit the exact needs of individuals installations. The actuators at the core of the system all have a common aluminium extruded profile, with double dovetail mounting rails on three side, these are the principle building blocks of the system to which all modular options are directly attached. PNEUAMTIC DRIVE ELECTRIC DRIVE NEW For series OSP-P there is the possibility to supply cylinder ATEX (please contact our tecnice department for more details) - 18 different guidance options provide the necessary level of precisio, performance and duty for various applications - Compact solutions, which are simple to install and can be easily retrofitted. - Valves and control options can be directly mounted to the actuator system - Diverse mounting options to provide total installation flexibility SYSTEM MODULARITY Pneumatic Drive For all round versatility and convenience, combing ease of control and broad performance capability. Ideally suited for pointto point operations, reciprocating movements and simple traverse/transfer applications. Electric Screw Drive For high force capability and accurate path and position control. Electric Belt Drive For high speed applications, accurate path and position control and longer strokes. A2-43

4 Loads, forces and moments Choice of cylinder is decided by: - permissible loads, forces and moments - performance of the pneumatic end cushions. The main factors here are the mass to be cushoned and the piston speed at start of cushioning (unless external cushioning is used, e.g. hydraulic shock absorbers) The adjacent table shows the maxi mum values for ligh, shock-free operation, which must not be exceeded even in dynamic operation. Load and moment data are based on speeds v 0,5 m/s Cushioning Diagram Iwork out your expected moving mass and read off the maximum permissible speed at start of cushioning. Alternatively, take your desired speed and expected mass and find the cylinder size required. Please note that the piston speed at start of cushioning is tipically ca. 50% higher than the average speed, and that it is this higher speed which determines the choice of cylinder. If these maximum permissible values are exceeded, additional shock absorbers must be used. The diagrams show the maximum possible support spacings depending on the load.
