AutoBrakits Stainless Steel NAMUR mounting kits provide consistent and reliable direct coupling to NAMUR compliant actuators. APEX Modular Positioner Available in both die cast aluminum and non-metallic versions, the Apex positioner combines precise valve positioning with advanced features. A modular manifold base allows 3-15psi pneumatic control signals, or 4-20mA signals with the addition of the I/P module. UltraSwitch XL Series PL Series The XL series rotary limit switch enclosure provides a rugged heavy duty package for visual and remote electrical indication of valve position.

The housing is suitable for NEMA 4, 4X, 7 & 9 locations and is available with optional position transmitters and a wide range of limit switch options.

The PL series housing is a non-metallic engineered resin and provides an excellent enclosure for harsh corrosive environments.

5 UltraSwitch XL Series PL Series The XL series rotary limit switch enclosure provides a rugged heavy duty package for visual and remote electrical indication of valve position. The die cast aluminum housing has a dichromate undercoat and electrostatic powder top coat for superior corrosion resistance. The housing is suitable for NEMA 4, 4X, 7 & 9 locations and is available with optional position transmitters and a wide range of limit switch options. Optional 4-20mA transmitter shown The PL series offers many features similar to the XL series. The PL series housing is a non-metallic engineered resin and provides an excellent enclosure for harsh corrosive environments. Designed to meet NEMA 4X standards, the housing also features a unique labyrinth cover seal. Features: Pharos indicator for high contrast wide angle viewing. XL series utilizes a snap on design, PL series utilizes bolt on design. Quick set spring loaded cams are extra wide and splined to allow tool free limit switch calibration. The housing is designed for hazardous locations and approvals are pending for NEMA 4, 4X, 7 & 9 and CENELEC EExd IIB. The aviator is designed for easy upgrading to the fieldbus communication protocols that are now being developed for applications of the future Features: 1 Internal Pilot Solenoid Coil offers the advantage of having the solenoid coil contained and protected within the Aviator housing. This provides a high degree of protection in hazardous environments and washdown applications. 2 Quick-set spring loaded cams are extra wide and splined to allow tool free limit switch calibration. 3 Switches are available in a wide range of options. 4 Corrosion Resistant Materials. The Apex is available with many options including: limit switches, position feedback transmitter, speed controls, and our Pharos TM visual position indicator.

The features and options for the APEX 6000 series are very similar to the APEX 5000 series.

It may be used with 3-15 psi pneumatic control signals, or fitted with an optional currentto-pressure transducer for 4-20mA signal input. The Apex is available with many options including: limit switches, position feedback transmitter, speed controls, and our Pharos TM visual position indicator. The APEX 6000 series positioner features a non- metallic housing for superior corrosion resistance. All exposed components are either high strength engineered resin or stainless steel. Manifold (3-15 psi Input) 11 Optional Flow Spool Valves Interchangeable Low Flow, High Flow and Maximum Flow spool valves are available to match the Automax positioners to the actuator load. The selection of the appropriate spool valve is determined primarily by the required speed of response of the total package (i.e. Positioner, actuator and final element). The exact speed of response depends on the torque available from the actuator relative to the torque required by the load; the supply pressure; actuator spring force; etc. The low flow spool features slow-opening ports which reduce overshoot while decreasing sensitivity. High and Max flow spools feature quick-opening ports which maximize sensitivity but may cause overshoot in low torque applications (such as dampers).
