19 LUTZ Drum & Carboy Pumps LUTZ modular drum pumps are available in an extensive range of pump tubes and motor head configurations, with the design emphasis on simplified field maintenance procedures. The pumping of chemicals from carboys and drums meet OSHA standards while streamlining your process. The portability and modular design of Lutz pumps allows for quick and easy mounting of motor heads to pump tubes for ensuring purity of storage vessels and preventing cross-contamination between liquids. LUTZ pump configurations are available in various lengths, materials of construction, motor enclosures and power ratings. LUTZ pumps handle a wide range of chemicals, densities, viscosities at the required flows and heads within a given process by means of interchangeable impeller/rotor configurations. Meet a wide variety of process requirements including pumping out 55 gallon drums or even gallon tote tank transfer. The inherent strength and rigidity of FLUX pumps offers high reliability even with built-to-spec extended length pumps. The highly engineered internal shaft design incorporates proper bearing spans that are critical for achieving long life in high speed vertical pumps. 21 LINEMAN Power Monitors LINEMAN Pump Power Monitors Advanced LINEMAN Power Monitors sense the motor power output of the pump with the ability of detecting process upset and adverse conditions with predetermined minimum and maximum flow or pressure limitsprior to sustaining pump damage. The high load trip sensor will detect: Excessive Flow or Run-out Cavitation Vortexing Obstructed suction line The low load trip sensor will detect: Throttled or Closed Discharge Valve Dry-run Dirty Filter Elements Note: The stated conditions and settings apply to centrifugal pumps and are the opposite for turbine pumps. LM-3 LM-5 LINEMAN power monitors are solid-state electronic monitoring and control units, specially designed to protect valuable pumping equipment against irregular operating conditions like dry running, cavitation and impeller jamming. If such an upset occurs, the monitor will signal an alarm or automatically shut down the pump, preventing costly pump damage. LINEMAN power monitors sense the motor for specific changes in true power (combining amps, volts & a power factor). Exakt meters feature all nonmetallic construction to maintain long-term accuracy. Corrosionresistant thermoplastics eliminate costly maintenance associated with meters equipped with alloy components. Shatter-proof thermoplastic shells offer a safe alternative to fragile glass units which tend to etch in certain corrosive environments. Exakt meters are available in a wide range of thermoplastics to meet specific chemical, pressure and temperature requirements. Standard meters are constructed of one-piece shell bodies in polysulfone, polyamide, or PVDF. The float is offered in PVDF and 316-SS. All meters feature union style end connections in PVC, CPVC, 316-SS, Polypropylene (PP) or Pure PVDF (threaded, socket, spigot or flanged). Static sealing o -rings are in EPDM, Viton, or FEP. All meter shells are tested at 700 psi, with a rated working pressure of 150 psi at 68ºF. Accuracy on all models is within 2% of full scale. High and low flow limit switches can be readily installed on shell guide rails, requiring optional magnetic floats for activation. 22
