2 MULTI/JOINT FITTINGS large tolerance fittings It means that pipes that can be fitted may have different diameters, with a maximum of 43 mm. The ranges up to DN200 are stepless and you can decide in the trench whether you want a flexible or end-load resistant connection. Should you normally need several couplings and other materials (such as thrust blocks) for a secure system, with the MULTI/JOINT Family that is history. This system makes your stock go down, it will save time (and money) in searching for the right coupling and it will save you extra digging, for creating space for the need of thrustblocks. 6 Sealing rings Variofleks and Variofiks ring DN50 - DN300 (MULTI/JOINT 3000 Family) These special rings are composed of segments that are conical in all directions, free to move independentiy. The ring has a tested theoretical lifetime of 50 years. The Variofleks ring does not have Fiksers and assures you a 100% tight, flexible connection. If you need an end-load resistant connection, all you have to do is put the Fiksers in place to make it a Variofiks. The Variofleks and Variofiks easily adopt the correct size and shape to fit the pipe. Or you can buy the end-load resistant version as a standard, and take the Fiksers out to make flexible connection (Variofleks ). XL ring DN300 - DN600 (MULTI/JOINT XL Family) The double conical ring has been adapted to current requests of users in the field. Developing the large tolerance couplings resulted in an increased range without decreasing the lifetime of the seal. To guarantee a sufficient pressure load ratio on the pipe surface by the rubber seal, the triple radius feature has been designed. MULTI/JOINT on polyolefines: We advise to use insert stiffeners for all types of mechanical joints. In order to guarantee the tightness during the entire lifetime of the coupling and to exclude residual stress in the pipe near to the joint area. Molykote pasta: The bolts in our couplings are provided with an anti galling coating (Teflon). For re-use we strongly advise you to lubricate the thread of the bolts, to prevent galling. Flange Gasket set: For your ordering convenience and installation we offer flange gasket sets for each flange connection. 6

7 >> Variofleks, Variofiks, XL ring and Fiksers» Poly/fikser Fiksers There are two types of Fiksers to obtain an end-load resistant connection. The wide variety of pipe materials demand a Fikser for soft pipe materials and one for the hard pipe materials. Multi/fikser The Multi/Fikser is suitable for hard pipe materials like steel, grey cast-iron, ductile cast iron, steel, stainless steel, PVC and others. The Poly/Fikser is suitable for soft pipe materials, like Polyethylene, Polybuthylene and others, referred to as Polyolefines. 7
