2 General Information Valve 00 series belongs to the new Numatics Valve Generation 000. It fulfills all requirements of automation. Characteristics: - Modular reality, true plug & play flexibility in design, module width 10 mm. - Strong and light due to valve housing and manual pilot overrides made of metal. - Bases made of ultra lightweight injection moulded thermoplastic. 5 FEATURES G-1 Electronics General Information on Multipole Systems Solenoid air operated valve manifolds for connection to a control system (PLC) with a multiwire cable for simple wiring. Electrical connection with a 5 pin Sub-D connector or a terminal strip Internal wiring by Z-Board plug-in system. Plug-together flexibility due to different assembly and wiring options. Designed to meet IP0 or IP65. Manifold delivered assembled according to customer specifications. COMBINATIONS Modules of up to valves can be grouped together. 14 G-1 Electronics Fieldbus Systems AS-Interface AS-Interface AS-interface offers a simple and quick technology to connect the various elements of a system with each other. With AS-interface, actuators and sensors can now communicate over a direct fieldbus connection, which was technically not possible in the past. Data and auxiliary power are transmitted over a single cable. The profiled AS-interface cable is designed for AS-interface interconnectivity. The special trapezoidal profile of the -wire cable prevents polarity reversal. The electrical connection is made with prongs which pierce the ASinterface cable offering high-reliability electrical contact. This contact technology eliminates the need to cut and strip wires. The electrical connection of a Numatics AS interface network can therefore be made in the shortest amount of time. 15 Discrete I/O Modules 00 Series G-1 Electronics I/O Modules for Profibus et DeviceNet Sub-D I/O Module Discrete I/O Modules Discrete I/O modules are used to connect additional I/O devices to the valve manifold node. This provides for more efficient use of system resources when configuring a communication system. Universal input modules feature technology that allows the same module to automatically recognise PNP or NPN type sensors without the need to add external pull-up resistors or manually select sensor type. Input and output modules have two 1mm (micro) connectors. Each can be used individually (i.e. 1 I/O point per connector) or can be used for double point (i.e. connector 1 has two points of I/O). This standard feature further simplifies external I/O wiring. Sub-D output module can be used to drive 16 additional coils on a separate manifold or 16 discrete output points. Sub-D I/O module can be used for inputs and or up to a total of 16 I/O points.
