FACTORY TESTING IS NOT JUST A BUZZWORD Instead of running audits on a calculated number of pumps, all submersible e Zoeller pumps are 1% factory tested underwater prior to shipment. Each pump is subjected to a leak test to ensure that all gaskets, seals and mating surfaces will hold under pressure. After the pressurized leak test, the pump is powered up and run underwater to ensure that it is capable of the published head capacity and flow rate listed in our catalog and specification sheets. This testing allows us to guarantee the pump will operate out of the box every time, and you can rest assured that YOUR Zoeller pump was tested underwater for both electrical and hydraulic performance. 36 Control Panels An electrical panel is used on a simplex (single) pump application where automatic electrical cycling of the pump is desired for added protection in residential or commercial applicatons. An electrical alternator is used on a duplex (dual) pump application where automatic alternation of pumps is desired for added protection in residential or commercial applications. With one pump operating to handle normal flow, a second pump becomes operational in the event the water level continues to rise. The built-in alarm system, a standard feature, can be connected to sound when the second pump becomes operational (-float switch system) or independently (-float switch system). All electrical systems must be installed by a qualified electrician and according to the governing codes. Refer to the Control Panel Selection Guide on the following page for selecting the panel most appropriate for your application.
