Define, power, power factor, form factor. Derive the relation between line voltage and phase voltage in the case of star connected ac system. Derive the expression for induced voltage in a transformer. Derive the emf equation of dc generator. Explain the starting methods of synchronous motors. Explain the VI characteristics of SCR. PART B (Answer ANY FIVE questions) (5 x 15 = 75) II. (a) Derive the relation between r.m.s value and maximum value of an ac quantity.
