All goods come with a one year manufacturer s warranty against defects. 2. Warranty will be void if the strut is altered for any reason and/or adapted to applications other than those suggested. 3. Any abrasions or rub marks on the spring portion of the strut will not be covered under warranty. The customer is responsible for all repair charges. 4. Driving at low PSI can cause the strut to bottom out. Repeated bottoming out can cause the strut to fail. Failure resulting from repeated bottoming out is not covered under warranty. 5. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to Air Lift Company for all warranty claims. 6. Please call tech support at before shipping a product to Air Lift Company. 1

Completely read these instructions before installing the kit. I. Preparing the Vehicle 1. Begin the installation by elevating the car and securing the frame with a frame-contact hoist or jack stands (Figure 1). 2. Remove the front wheels (Figure 2). II. Strut Removal Figure 2 1. Remove the brake line retaining bolt and discard (Figure 3). 2. Remove the two lower mounting nuts and bolts and save for later use (Figure 4). 3. Remove the sway bar retaining nut and save for later use (Figure 5). 4. Remove the three upper mounting nuts and save for reinstallation (Figure 6). NOTE: These are located in the engine compartment above the strut pocket. 5. Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle (Figure 7). Figure 3 NOTE: The upper strut mount and the felt spacer will be used for reinstallation. 6. Using a coil spring compressor, compressor the spring and loosen and remove the center upper strut mount nut (Figure 8). Remove the upper mount for use with new strut assembly. Discard the other OEM strut components (Figure 9). CAUTION: Use extreme caution when using the coil spring compressor. Follow directions and safety guidelines. Figure 4 2

3 III. Installing the New Strut Assembly 1. Before installing the new strut, you must attach the leader hose (C). Apply loctite or a similar thread sealant to both ends of the hose (C). Next, attach the air fitting (H) to one end of the hose and attach the hose to the inlet port on the new strut assembly (A or B) (Figure 10a, Figure 10b). 2. Place a supplied strut bearing (D), OEM upper mount, supplied washer, and supplied nyloc nut onto the stud of the new strut assembly (A,B) (Figure 11). 3. Tighten the upper nyloc nut securely (Figure 12). 4. Insert the new assembly into the vehicle s strut pocket (Figure 13). Figure 5 5. Reinstall the three retained OEM upper mounting nuts (Figure 14). 6. Reinstall the two OEM lower mounting bolts (Figure 15). Tighten securely. 7. Reattach the sway bar with the retained OEM nut (Figure 16). 8. Reattach the brake line with the supplied nut (E), bolt (F), and washer (G) (Figure 17). 9. 4 VII. Before Operating 1. Tighten and visually inspect all hardware after 100 miles. 2. Air Lift part #27741 is highly recommended for this product. 3. 5 VIII. Maintenance and Operation: Minimum Pressure 10 p.s.i. Maximum Pressure 145 p.s.i. Failure to maintain correct minimum pressure (or pressure proportional to load), bottoming out, overextension, or rubbing against another component will void the warranty. Warranty covers up to 145 PSI. Ride PSI not to exceed 120 PSI. Figure 16 By following these steps, vehicle owners should obtain the longest life and best results from their air springs. 1. Always maintain Ride Height. 2. Always adjust the air pressure to maintain Ride Height. Increase or decrease pressure from the system as necessary to attain Ride Height for optimal ride and handling. 3. Should it become necessary to raise the vehicle by the frame or do any service work, make sure the system is at minimum pressure (10 p.s.i.) for safety and to reduce the tension on the suspension/brake components. Also, be sure to strap or support the rear suspension to prevent the struts from pulling apart.
