2 Product Description The 4-point harness + carbon fiber shoulder harness bracket are designed to provide comfort and safety for weekend track/high performance events, yet is removable for daily driving. Benefit The Carbon Fiber Shoulder Harness Bracket is designed to be mounted using factory seat headrest posts. This custom bracket is intentionally positioned higher than the shoulder, which acts both as a pivot point for the shoulder harness, as well as holding the harness in position and away from rubbing seat fabric/leather. The carbon fiber bracket absorbs the shoulder harness compression and distributes the energy down the seat frame instead of down the seat cushion. The bracket is constructed by a PPG (Dry Carbon) Process via heat and pressuring to form the plate of 3k carbon woven + carbon fiber + 3k carbon woven providing maximum strength to absorb the stress from the harnesses, and in doing so, it will assure the spine is not compressed or pulled. It can be installed, removed and stored in only a few minutes, even the first time. Also available is an optional suede storage bag. Compatibility The TopSpin Design harness is designed to fit on all vehicles with ease. The harness come with 2 shoulder belts, 2 lap belts, 4 end straps, and a silver anodized aluminum CNC quick release camlock buckle. 4 Tools Needed for Installation: The installation of the harness kit on some vehicles requires no tools as the appropriate harness belt anchors are already provided. In vehicles where this is not the case, installation requires the use of a socket wrench, 13mm socket, and an extension. 3

5 Step 1: Removal of Rear Seat Cushion Removal of the rear seat cushion is done by pulling up on the front of the padding where it overhangs the carpeted portion of the floor. 4

6 Step 2: Rear belt anchor (Not required in newer models where child seat anchors already exist) Locate the two threaded anchor holes located behind the rear seat back rest. They are located just above the two red arrows. Attach one belt anchor to each threaded hole with in the following sequence, anchor, washer, locking washer, bolt. Be sure to position the anchor so that the elongated opening is at the bottom. Tighten each bolt securely with the 13mm socket and wrench. 5

7 Step 3: Attaching Rear Harness Locks Taking the belt side of the rear harness lock, slide it through the opening of the rear belt anchors from the bottom and bringing the belt back through the buckle as shown. Follow the arrows in the order they are numbered to properly lock the belt through the buckle. You do not need to tighten down the belts through the buckles at this time. You will adjust their lengths at a later point in the install. Repeat once for each of the two rear harness locks. Note: The buckles used in the Top Spin harness kit are double locking, requiring the belt to re-loop through the buckle a second time to ensure that they are locked securely. 6

8 Step 4: Lap Belt Anchor Install To install the lap belts anchors, first move the seat forward as far as possible. You will see two sliders underneath the seats. For S4 model or vehicle equip with electric power seat, remove the two plastic covers to reach the sliders. Take a lap belt anchor and loop the belt side under the slider and bring it over the top and through the buckle and double it back over the same way as used in the rear harness locks. For these lower anchors, you want to make the anchor end as short (as close to the sliders) as possible. Repeat for both sides. 7

9 Step 5: Harness Bracket Installation To install the harness bracket, remove the headrest and slide the head rest posts through the bracket with the bracket guides facing up and at the rear of the headrest as shown. 8

10 Step 6: Lap Belt Install Installing the lap belts require clipping each side to the lower anchors you installed in step 4. The belt with the cam-lock needs to be attached to the inside anchor (anchor along the center console). Insert safety pin into the hole in the snake hook to ensure the hook will not push to unlock position during usage. You may use a paper clip as a safety pin. 9

11 Step 7: Installing shoulder belts Slide the belts into the harness bracket through the slit in the guides on the bracket threading the belt through the buckle as seen in the picture. You will not be using the double lock technique in this step. Connect the shoulder belts to the rear harness locks clipping them in but do not tighten the belt. 10

12 Step 8: Harness Adjustment To adjust the lengths of the shoulder belts, first position yourself in the seat as you would normally sit while in an aggressive driving position. Once settled in the seat, make sure that the front shoulder belts have the maximum amount of slack possible as circled in blue in the following image. Once that is completed, adjust the shoulder belts behind the seat along with the rear belt locks until enough slack has been removed from the belts that when you're sitting in the seat with the lap belts firmly tightened there is only a small amount of slack in the shoulder belts. At this point tighten down the rear belt locks and the shoulder belt rear buckles. To appropriately strap yourself into the seat with the harness first adjust the lap belts so that they are tight around your lap. When completed, adjust the shoulder belts with a downward pull of the belt ends circled in blue until the harness is firmly (as tight as you can manage without impairing your ability to breathe) holding you down into your seat. Step 9: Reinstall the Rear Seat Cushion Slide the rear seat cushion underneath all the belt locks and with the cushion positioned as far back under the back rest push with a downward force along the edge of the cushion to lock it back into the cushion snaps.
