All goods come with a one year manufacturer s warranty against defects. 2. Warranty will be void if the strut is altered for any reason and/or adapted to applications other than those suggested. 3. Any abrasions or rub marks on the spring portion of the strut will not be covered under warranty. The customer is responsible for all repair charges. 4. Driving at low PSI can cause the strut to bottom out. Repeated bottoming out can cause the strut to fail. Failure resulting from repeated bottoming out is not covered under warranty. 5. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to Air Lift Company for all warranty claims. 6. Please call tech support at before shipping a product to Air Lift Company. 1

Preparing the Vehicle 1. Begin the installation by elevating the car (Figure 1). Secure the frame with jack stands. 2. Remove the front wheels (Figure 2). II. Strut Removal Figure 1 1. Remove the three nuts from the upper strut tower (Figure 3). NOTE: These are located on the inside of the engine compartment above the strut pocket. 2. Remove the ABS and brake line bracket and discard the bolt. Using a die grinder, cut the brake line bracket to separate it from the brake line (Figure 4). 3. Remove the two lower strut mount bolts and retain for reinstallation (Figure 5). 4. Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle and discard(figure 6). Figure 2 III. Assembling and Installing the Strut Assembly 1. Prior to installing the strut, the leader hose (F) must be attached. Apply loctite or a similar thread sealant to both ends of the hose. Attach the air fitting (G) to one end of the hose and attach the hose to the threaded port underneath the air bag on the new strut assembly (Figures 7 and 8). Seal with teflon tape. 2. Grind away the innermost 2/3 of the lip of the upper strut tower (Figure 10). Figure 3 3. Install the new upper strut mount (B) into the strut tower. Attach using the supplied bolts (E), flat washers (C), and nylock nuts (D) (Figure 11). 4. Remove the rubber bushings from the strut and place the white bearing onto the shaft of the strut assembly. Replace one of the rubber bushings making sure that the raised side facing up (Figure 9). 2

3 5. Insert the strut assembly (A) into the new upper strut mount (Figure 12). 6. Place the other rubber bushing that came on the stut onto the portion of the strut shaft sticking out from the upper mount. Ensure that the rubber bushing has the raised side facing downward. Fasten with the supplied nyloc nut (came on strut) (Figure 12). Leave loose at this time. Cut NOTE: Use of loctite (red) or a similar thread sealant on the nyloc nut is recommended. 7. With the lower end of the strut in place, reattach the two previously removed lower strut mounting bolts at the base of the strut (Figure 5). 8. Tighten all mounting hardware securely. Figure 4 9. Make a mark on the hood where the top of the strut will come in contact with it (Figure 13). 10. If necessary, create clearance under the hood by either indenting it or grinding a section out. 11. Install the air line at this time. CAUTION: When routing the air line, be sure to keep it away from heat sources and moving parts. NOTE: The air line may be routed underneath the fenderwell to avoid drilling a hole. If a hole needs to be drilled, drill the hole at least 1/4 bigger than the diameter of the air line. Run the air line through the hole and seal with silicone or a rubber grommet to avoid damage to the air line. Figure Finished installation is shown in figure Before driving your vehicle, set the new struts to their highest setting by turning the black dial on the strut shaft as far to the right as is it will go (position 9). Next, completely deflate and reinflate the air bags 2-3 times to evenly distribute air inside the strut that may have shifted during shipping. For normal ride performance, EasyStreet recommends setting the strut dial to position 3. Figure 6 Air Fitting Leader Hose Screw leader hose into port. 4 IV. Before Operating 1. Inflate and deflate system (do not exceed 150 p.s.i) to check for clearance or binding issues. With air springs deflated, check clearances on everything so as not to pinch brake lines, vent tubes, etc. Clear lines if necessary. 2. The struts for this vehicle come with a nine-position dampening dial (shown below) for added adjustability. To start, EasyStreet recommends setting the dial at the third position for the most versatility. Figure 9 strut body 9-position dampening dial 3. 5 V. Maintenance and Operation: Minimum Pressure By following these steps, vehicle owners should obtain the longest life and best results from their air springs. 1. Always maintain Ride Height. Never inflate beyond 150 p.s.i. Maximum Pressure 10 p.s.i. 150 p.s.i. Failure to maintain correct minimum pressure (or pressure proportional to load), bottoming out, overextension, or rubbing against another component will void the warranty. 2. Always adjust the air pressure to maintain Ride Height. Increase or decrease pressure from the system as necessary to attain Ride Height for optimal ride and handling. 3. IMPORTANT: For your safety and to prevent possible damage to your vehicle, do not exceed Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer. Although your air springs are rated at a maximum inflation pressure of 150 p.s.i., the air pressure actually needed is dependant on your load and GVWR, which may be less than 150 p.s.i. Check your vehicle owners manual and do not exceed the maximum load listed for your vehicle. 4. Should it become necessary to raise the vehicle by the frame or do any service work, make sure the system is at minimum pressure (10 p.s.i.) for safety and to reduce the tension on the suspension/brake components.
