1 5.1.6 Fan Filter Unit (FFU) Standard: for ceiling grid dimensions 1200 x 1200 mm, 1200 x 900 mm, 1200 x 600 mm. Other dimensions are available on demand. The FFU consists of the following components: - A walk-in housing made of sheet steel (option: aluminium or stainless steel), min. 1.5 mm thick and powder-coated inside and out. The standard colours are RAL 9002, RAL 9010 and RAL Other colours are available on demand. The inlet jet is integrated in the housing. - A sound insulating and absorbing housing lining or housing components made of a non-flammable, odourless material with a non-abrasive, particle-tight surface covering. - Option: with a prefilter attached to the air inlet and easily demountable. It consists of a sheet steel housing framework, which is 1.5 mm thick and powder-coated inside and out. It can have alternatively a paper frame if used in start up phase only. Interface distributor: LON free topology transceiver (FTT-10A) in FFU, built-in design, with green operation/fault indication for the motor controller, with yellow LON operation indication for the FFU. The binding is made by a 2-wire-plug. No polarity must be kept. 4 FFU cross section: Filter cassette: It consists of powder coated sheet steel or stainless steel (surcharge). The cassette is tailored to suit both the cleanroom ceiling grid, the manner of installation and the type of seal dry or fluid. HEPA and the fan are replaced from the cleanroom side or from the plenum side or from both sides. There is a rubber seal between the filter frame and the ceiling grid. page 13 / 24 version 2.1

5 HEPA filter for installation in filter cassette The HEPA filter consists of a framework made of anodized aluminium extruded profile into which the filter medium, made of folded glass fibre, is glued. The glass fibre medium is folded V-shaped with synthetic threads as spacers to guarantee optimum air flow and utilization of the filter surface. The maximum operating temperature is 70 C. The filter is equipped with a seal and touch guard made of painted rib mesh. The seal can be neoprene or a fluid. Make: Filterclass: Camfil or Trox as required Perforated ceiling panel Consist of galvanised sheet steel, 1,5 mm thick, ratio of perforations according to resistance required for optimum air distribution. The perforated panels have canted edges with fixing device for flush installation in the grid.
