3 Microminiature Contact System All micro-miniature connectors use the twist pin contact system.. A contact design system developed in the 1960 s It is a reverse gender system where the pin is covered by the insulator and the socket is exposed

4 Microminiature Contact System The advantages of the twist pin Proven design Over 45 years of use Multiple points of contact 7 contact points on Micro & Centi pin. 5 on Nano pin Copes well with vibration and heat High current rating for its size Standard contact 5A Centi, 3A Micro and 1A Nano High normal force, low resistance Scoop proof The design of the pin tip and the chamfered lead in to the socket mean the contacts mate reliably even when misaligned.
