3 System Specifications Some of the features are programmable and can be changed to operate differently than described herein. Refer to the selectable option section (pages 12 and 13) for more information. System Arming The system will ignore all trigger inputs for 8 seconds after the second parking light flash. SilentChoice Allows selective arming or disarming of the security system with or without confirmation chirps. Pressing the arm or disarm button the first time activates the selected function. Then if the same transmitter button is pressed again within 20 seconds the siren (or horn) will chirp, confirming the selected function. Alarm Trip Cycle Siren (or horn) will sound for 30 seconds. The alarm will then ignore all trigger inputs for 10 seconds, then rearm. The siren will not sound again until another intrusion is detected. However, if the intruded zone stays open the alarm will continue to cycle until that opening is closed. Real Panic Pressing and holding the FIND / PANIC button for one (1) second on the remote transmitter activates the Real Panic feature which makes the car horn sound at random length intervals. Real Panic duration is 30 seconds. The Real Panic cycle can be stopped prior to 30 seconds by pressing the FIND / PANIC button again. Headlight Control Pressing the LIGHTS button turns on the headlights for twenty seconds or until the LIGHTS button is pressed again. Sensors Power and Ground are active at all times on Sensor Port 1. Ground on Sensor Port 2 is active only when the alarm is fully armed. Pressing buttons 1 and 2 together will deactivate the Lite-Touch and shock input on sensor ports 1 and 2. The siren will chirp three times when these inputs are deactivated. These inputs will remain deactivated until the alarm is rearmed. 10 Lite-touch trips within one arming period will cause the alarm to ignore any further lite-touch inputs until the alarm is rearmed. 4 Full-trigger trips within one arming period will cause the alarm to ignore any further full-trigger inputs until the alarm is rearmed. Automatic Arming If the Automatic Arming option is enabled, the alarm will automatically arm and disable the vehicle starter 1 minute after the ignition is turned off. Car Finder Pressing the FIND button on the remote control transmitter activates the Car Find feature. The horn will emit five short beeps each time the button is pressed. Valet Valet Mode prevents the alarm from arming automatically. Pressing the ARM button on the remote transmitter with the vehicle ignition on puts the vehicle in Valet Mode. Pressing DISARM with the ignition on exits Valet Mode. In Valet Mode, the LED will double-flash. 3

4 System Specifications (cont.) Illuminated Entry/Exit The Illuminated Entry/Exit Output is activated for 60 seconds after the alarm is disarmed or the ignition is turned off. Trunk Release The Trunk Release is activated by pressing and holding DISARM / TRUNK on the remote transmitter. Door Locks The Door Lock / Unlock Outputs are activated when the alarm is armed and disarmed. Duration is.6 seconds or 6 seconds (selectable).
