Invacare products are specifically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction with Invacare accessories. Risk of Death, Serious Injury, or Damage Incorrect repair and/or servicing of this wheelchair performed by users/caregivers or unqualified technicians can result in death, serious injury, or damage. Users/Caregivers DO NOT attempt to repair and/or service this wheelchair. Repair and/or service of this wheelchair MUST be performed by a qualified technician. Contact a dealer or Invacare technician. DANGER! Risk of Death, Serious Injury, or Damage Use of incorrect or improper replacement (service) parts may cause death, serious injury, or damage. Replacement parts MUST match original Invacare parts. ALWAYS provide the wheelchair serial number to assist in ordering the correct replacement parts WHEELCHAIRS WITH A SEAT-TO-FLOOR ANGLE OF 6 ONLY If changing the seat-to-floor angle to 6, anti-tippers MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED. JYMNI RECLINERS AND JYMNI WHEELCHAIRS WITH 1 INCH FORWARD REAR WHEEL POSITIONERS ONLY s MUST be attached at all times. s MUST be fully engaged and spring buttons fully protruding out of adjustment holes, BEFORE using the wheelchair. Ensure both anti-tippers are adjusted to the same mounting hole. 2 Installation and Adjustment 2.1 Installing s Risk of Serious Injury or Damage Moving the seating system from the factory setting may reduce driver control, wheelchair stability, traction and increase caster wear resulting in serious injury or damage. Move the seating system ONLY when necessary to fit the wheelchair to the user. If the seating system must be moved, ALWAYS inspect the wheelchair to ensure the front rigging DOES NOT interfere with the front casters. If the seating system must be moved, ALWAYS inspect to ensure the wheelchair DOES NOT easily tip forward or backward. Risk of Minor to Serious Injury Pinch points can cause minor to serious injury. Be mindful of potential pinch points and use caution when using this product. Risk of Death, Serious Injury, or Damage Operating the wheelchair without anti-tippers could result in death, serious injury or damage. DO NOT operate the wheelchair without anti-tippers installed. Risk of Serious Injury Sharp edges can cause serious injury. Be mindful that some parts may have sharp edges. Use caution when encountering these sharp edges. s are specific to the different seat-to-floor angles and/or seat-to-floor heights. Refer to the chart in this instruction sheet for correct usage and adjustment. If these requirements CANNOT be achieved, DO NOT use the wheelchair. Contact a qualified technician. If changing the seat-to-floor height with or without a change to seat-to-floor angle, the correct anti-tippers must be used to maintain a 1 1/2 to 2 inch ground clearance WHEELCHAIRS WITH A SEAT-TO-FLOOR ANGLE OF 6 OR 3 AND JYMNI NON-RECLINERS ONLY If so equipped, anti-tippers MUST be attached at all times. Inasmuch as the anti-tippers are an option for 0 or 3 on these wheelchairs (You many order with or without anti-tippers), Invacare strongly recommends ordering the anti-tippers as a safeguard for the wheelchair user. 1. Remove plug button (not shown) from end of rear frame tubing E and install anti-rattles A if not already installed. 2. Press the release buttons D IN and insert the anti-tippers B with the anti-tipper wheels C pointing toward the ground/floor into the rear frame tubing until the bottom release button locks in place. 3. Measure the distance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the ground/floor. A 1 1/2 to 2 inch clearance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the ground/floor MUST be maintained at all times. 4. ADJUSTABLE ANTI-TIPPERS ONLY If the distance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the ground/floor is not 1 1/2 to 2 inches, adjust anti-tippers. Refer to ADJUSTING THE ANTI-TIPPERS 2.2 Adjusting s This procedure is for adjustable anti-tippers only E~01

3 1. Press the release buttons Aon the wheeled portion of the anti-tipper and slide it up or down to achieve the 1 1/2 to 2 inch clearance. 2. 4 9000 Series, 9000P, and Jymni Installation 3.3 Wear and Tear Information General Information Normal wear and tear items and components include but are not limited to: all upholstery items including seat and back upholstery, arm and calf pads, cushions, wheels, tires and casters, all types of batteries, joystick overlays and inductive rubberized protective boots. Invacare reserves the right to ask for any item back that has an alleged defect in workmanship. Refer to the Warranty section in the user manual for specific warranty information. Refer to the Inspection Checklists in the user manual shipped with the product for proper preventative maintenance schedule. This is just a general guideline and does not include items damaged due to abuse and misuse.
