2 Featuring a vortex ipeller recessed in the widely opened pup casing interior, the U and UZ pups can handle sewage with large solids without clogging or winding. Entry Every cabtyre cable has an anti- wicking block at the cable entry section of the pup. This echanis is such that a part of each conductor is stripped back and the part is sealed by olded rubber or epoxy potting which has flowed in between each strand of the conductor. This unique feature prevents wicking under the strands of the conductor itself. Protector Each pup up to. as standard has a built in auto-cut, self-resetting ircle Theral Protector (TP). ntegrated in the otor housing, the TP directly cuts the otor circuit if excessive heat builds up or an overcurrent caused by an electrical or echanical failure occurs. GUDE R FTTNGS We recoend using the Tsurui guide rail fitting syste with pups. This syste connects the pup to and fro the piping easily just by lowering and hoisting the pup, allowing easy aintenance and inspection without the need to enter the sup. TOS The TOS guide rail fitting syste is ade of cast iron and is copatible with Tsurui cast- iron pups. Refer to the specification table for the correct odel nuber prefixed with TOS. TS This copact guide rail fitting syste is ideal for installing on prefabricated lift stations. ts discharge flange is copatible with ajor flange standards including NS lb, S PN, and DN PN. Four odels are available and can be used on Tsurui cast-iron pups in the through discharge bore range. TOK Made of high quality resin, the TOK is designed for light-weight, sall pups. Rubber bellows attached to the guide hook are inverted to the duckfoot bend when the pup starts operating. This eliinates leakage at the seal even if a light-weight pup is used in cobination with the TOK. The TOK can be used with the U series pups of.kw through.kw with axiu discharge bore of. Mechanical Seal ll pups are provided with a Silicon arbide dual inside echanical seal that is located copletely out of the pupage, running in an oil-filled chaber. The advantages of this seal are two-fold, it eliinates spring failure caused by corrosion, abrasion or fouling which prevents the seal faces fro closing properly, and prevents loss of cooling to the botto seal faces during run-dry conditions which causes the botto seal to fail. Oil ifter (Pat. Pending) Utilizing the rotational energy of the shaft seal, the Oil ifter forcibly supply lubricating oil to the echanical seal. t continues to supply the lubricant to the top seal faces even if lubricant falls below the rated volue. This aazingly siple device not only turns wasted energy into added protection but also doubles the life expectancy of the echanical seal and also the aintenance ter.
